Nether Green Junior School is a vibrant place of learning.
It is a school which has high achievement and high standards and a place where children enjoy learning. The school has a welcoming and caring ethos and is well regarded within the community.
The school also has an Integrated Resource with places for pupils with learning difficulties and complex needs, who are included in the daily life of the school.
The school provides the children with a broad and balanced curriculum which is supplemented by many additional activities including a large orchestra, sports teams, a range of clubs on offer, residential visits from Year 4 and an opportunity for every child to perform in a drama production every year.
The school aims to develop the whole child within an environment which is caring, calm, purposeful and happy and one which respects others and recognises individual needs.
At Nether Green Junior School we aim to provide a learning environment in which our pupils are valued and begin to develop the skills that, in the future, will enable them to be valuable citizens in the society in which they live and work.

MUSIC TUITION IN SCHOOL – IMPORTANT MESSAGE
After the half term (Spring Bank holiday) we will be requesting payment for instrument tuition relating to the Autumn Term (September to December 2015). This payment must be made by the 1st July 2015.
Why? The Sheffield Music Hub have a policy that all tuition must be paid for in advance of the term so they can calculate how many pupils require tuition, staffing levels and timetables arranged for all schools in advance.
What action do you need to take now? If your child will be continuing with their music tuition you need take no action at the moment. You will receive your bill for the Autumn Term during the w/c 1st June 2015 which will contain full instructions of when and how to pay.
HOWEVER…………Please be aware that if you no longer want your child to continue with their music tuition in the Autumn Term you MUST inform Mrs Mather in the school office, in writing, BEFORE Friday 22nd May 2015.
Why? A full half-term’s notice must be given for withdrawal from music tuition (i.e before this current half term ends) - otherwise you will still be charged for an additional half-term’s tuition (i.e. from September 2015 up to the October half term).
So we ask that you take this into consideration, discuss with your child and make your decision NOW as to whether your child will be continuing with music tuition after the Summer Holidays.
If you inform the school after the Spring Bank Holiday it will be too late – you must inform us in writing before this current half term ends on Friday 22nd May.
If we do not get a response from you the school will assume that your child will be continuing with music tuition in September and an invoice will be issued as stated.
