The school covers the agreed syllabus for religious education. This syllabus has been discussed and agreed by the religious bodies in the city. It allows pupils to extend their knowledge about religion and also develop their understanding of their own feelings and beliefs. Assemblies take place each day and cover a range of topics supporting the childrens learning and promoting the school values. Children are given time to reflect on the themes and topics. Visitors also support the assembly programme and include groups from the local churches. Parents/Carers who do not wish their children to participate in RE lessons or attend the assemblies for religious reasons, are asked to request this by writing to the Headteacher and make an appointment to discuss this. Pupils who do not attend the collective act of worship work in the library.
