Religious Education Curriculum Statement
Nether Green Junior School follows the agreed syllabus for RE in Sheffield 2014-2019 (SACRE). During Religious Education lessons pupils learn from religions and world views about different ways of life in local, national and global contexts. Religious Education at Nether Green Junior School has three main aims. The curriculum aims to ensure that all pupils know about and understand a range of religions and world views, express ideas and insights about the nature, significance and impact of religions and world views, and that they gain and deploy the skills needed to engage seriously with religions and world views. The subject aims to present pupils with a range of enquiry questions which engage them in their learning and allow them to generate their own ideas about a range of religions.
