Science
At Nether Green Junior School we aim to develop children’s scientific knowledge, teach them scientific skills and engender their natural curiosity.
Science is generally a practical subject and the best way to learn science is through “hands-on” experience. Children are given opportunities to ask questions, investigate and discover. Practical work is consolidated through discussion, written work and applying learning to new situations.
Where possible, scientific learning is taught in the context of the class topic and enables children to apply their scientific knowledge and skills for a purpose.
